Quiet Waters provides a Christian Counselling Service for all, regardless of faith, gender, ethnic origin or life choices. 'Christian' refers to the counsellors and the ethos of our service and not necessarily our clients' beliefs and values, which will be respected - whatever they are.
Counselling will give you an opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings in confidence, to talk through your situation and focus on your needs and aspirations. A counsellor will listen and help you to make sense of the difficulties you are experiencing and to find a way forward. The aim is not to provide you with quick and easy answers, but to enable you to find your own.

Every effort is made to offer you a counsellor who is best able top help you in your circumstances.
Your first appointment will allow you to discuss the reasons you are seeking help and explore what counselling has to offer you.
If you decide Quiet Waters offers the help you are looking for, we will enter into a conselling agreement with you. During counselling you will have the opportunity to review your progress on a regular basis and to adjust the number of sessions planned.
Regular attendence for counselling is an important part of your commitment to the counselling process - especially if the issues being discussed become difficult for you.
There is no charge for the counselling offered. Gifts are however welcome from those who wish to contribute.

We have a team of experienced and suitably qualified counsellors who receive regular supervision and support in their counselling work. Our counsellors are members of the Association of Christian Counsellors and work within the Association's Code of Ethics and Practice.
